  • Pro Profile Information: Business name, trade category, service counties, license number, insurance information, profile photo, bio, and photo gallery.
  • Communications: Messages sent through the Platform between homeowners and Pros.
  • Payment Information: For Pros with paid subscriptions, payment method details are processed by our payment processors (Stripe, BTCPay Server). We do not store full credit card numbers.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on pages, and interactions with the Platform.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, IP address, and approximate location.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Platform is used.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Connect homeowners with Pros by displaying relevant Pro profiles and job postings.
  • Facilitate communication between homeowners and Pros.
  • Process subscription payments for Pros.
  • Send account-related notifications (job matches, messages, subscription status).
  • Improve and optimize the Platform.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Other Platform Users: Pro profiles (including name, business name, trade, service area, license and insurance information as listed by the Pro, profile photo, bio, and reviews) are visible to homeowners browsing the Platform. Homeowner job posts (including description, trade category, budget range, urgency, city, and ZIP code) are visible to Pros.
  • With Service Providers: We use third-party services for payment processing (Stripe, BTCPay Server), hosting, and analytics. These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their functions and are contractually bound to protect it.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business Transfers: If West Michigan Home Pros is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform.
